Full Journal pdf1998-05-11 House Journal Page 3808 HJR 57 Representative Porter moved and asked unanimous consent that the House consider the Senate message (page 3769) on the following at this time: HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 57 am Relating to an amendment to the Constitution of the United States prohibiting federal courts from ordering a state or a political subdivision of a state to increase or impose taxes. and SENATE CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 57(STA) (same title) There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Porter moved that the House concur in the Senate amendment to HJR 57 am, thus adopting SCS HJR 57(STA), and recommended that the members vote yes. The question being: "Shall the House concur in the Senate amendment to HJR 57 am?"
